So, I am off to Bali soon.
I spent today applying for my visa and booking my flights. I actually have to stop in Bangkok briefly because my luggage has been stored there for the past two months. No longer having an apartment and carrying all of my things with me has made it harder to travel freely. I really wanted to stop in Vietnam, but I just do not feel like traveling with all of my luggage. I may use Bali as my base for the next few months and see if I can travel from there.
One of my friends asked me if I am ever coming back to New York, and I am—just not anytime soon, if I can help it.
As my time in Chiang Mai comes to an end, I find myself rotting in bed, which is crazy because the city is beautiful. It has been a little rainy, though, so I have been using that as an excuse to stay inside.
I feel bad because I canceled on a girl I met today, but honestly, I am not the kind of person to force myself to do anything when I am not in the mood.
She responded with, “Sabai, sabai,” which means “It’s okay” or “Everything is chill” in Thai, so I was relieved!
